I am a Professor of Economics at Galatasaray University. Previously, I was a Professor of Economics at Bahçeşehir University and worked as a consultant for the TÜSİAD-Sabancı University Competitiveness Forum. I received my PhD from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and did my postdoctoral training at the University of Montreal.
My research focuses on firm dynamics, with a special interest in SME challenges, innovation, productivity, and labor markets. I also work on short-run GDP growth forecasting.
My consulting experience includes work for the World Bank, the Turkish Statistical Institute, and other public and private institutions. I am passionate about programming for data analysis and economics. I regularly teach courses on the subject, ranging from introductory to advanced levels.
